Baby B: 30 Weeks

I may have done a little dance on Saturday when we hit 30 weeks. 30 sounds so much closer than 29.  It is 1 more week of no bedrest. And it is only 7 weeks out from when we had Ashlynn.  We pray that Bailey keeps cooking for those 7 weeks, but after April 13 I will be jogging around town and eating all of the spicy food I can find (especially since she is already measuring big like her sister!)

My appt. with Dr. E went good last week. I am still on "scheduled bed rest", and will take my meds 2x a day to avoid contractions starting up.  We are so thankful for this.

30 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 30 weeks
Size of baby: She should be around 15.7 inches long and weight 3 lbs (about the size of a head of cabbage). Last week Dr. E said that she is still measuring big.
Weight gain: +14
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Gender: Another sweet girl!
Movement: This week we started to be able to see little feet/elbows/hands sticking out and moving across my stomach. I think this is one of my favorite parts of pregnancy. Her little hiney stuck up out of my stomach yesterday!
Sleep: A lot more restroom breaks. And a hard time getting comfy even with the body pillow.
Symptoms:  Exhaustion, backache, uncomfortable, contractions, the heartburn has returned, and stretch marks (ahh no!)
What I miss: I am slightly missing the freedom of going and doing all of the time, but know that being restful will help Miss Bailey out, so it is worth it!
Cravings: Nothing specific
Best moment this week: Going to see Dr. E last Monday, and getting to attend a Mom's Conference this past weekend.
What I am looking forward to: A restful week and starting to get Ashlynn's baby things out to see what we have!
Dad and Big Sister: Mark was a rockstar this weekend and took care of Ashlynn so that I could go to my conference. He did such a great job, and I don't think she even missed me :) Ashlynn has been having cold/allergies for the past few weeks so we are headed to the Dr. today to see what we an do for her.

Baby B: 29 Weeks

And...the adventure begins! Last Wednesday (28 wk, 5 days) I started having contractions. After an hour, they were still consistent at an avg. of 5 minutes apart.  Thankfully, Mark got home from work right at that time. We loaded up and headed to L&D.  His mom met us up there to keep Baby A entertained.  They gave me meds to stop the contractions, and did a FFN test (which came back negative).  We were sent home with meds and instructions to take it easy.  I go back to see Dr. E today, so we will see what he has to say about everything!

Playing with dada
Helping mama with discharge paperwork
Getting ready to go home!
*Sweet note: Mark and his mom got visitor stickers to go in and out of L&D.  Ashlynn came in with a sticker that said "I am the Big Sister." My heart just about melted. Can't believe our baby is fixing to be a sister!"

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 29 weeks
Size of baby: She should be around 15 inches long and weight 2.5 lbs (about the size of a butternut squash)
Weight gain: +13
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Gender: Another sweet girl!
Movement: All over! I love feeling her move, and knowing that she is doing ok in there.  She has started kicking/moving a little lower this week. The nurses at L&D had a hard time monitoring her because she was all over the place
Sleep: Big sister has had allergies all week, so that has hampered everyone's sleep a bit
Symptoms:  Exhaustion, backache, uncomfortable, contractions, stretch marks (ahh no!)
What I miss: Nothing right now, just so glad Bailey is healthy!
Cravings: Oreos
Best moment this week: Knowing that for now we are still good to go and Bailey can keep cooking in there!
What I am looking forward to: Seeing Dr. E today and finding out how things are looking
Dad and Big Sister: Mark has been great at helping cook dinners and take care of Ashlynn.  Ashlynn is now a full time walker!

Celebrating the 4th

We decided not to celebrate our anniversary on the actual day. Mark had been gone a few nights that week, and we needed some family time with Baby A at home.  We ordered pizza (and someone may have wanted some onion rings!), watched TV and cuddled with our girl.

On Friday afternoon, I took Ashlynn to my dad's house for the night.  Mark and I got to go to the Star's game that night with friends! It was such a fun way to add to the celebrations.  We had also gotten a hotel room for the night, to escape our baby crazy house!

Here are a few pics of Ashlynn's trip:
Showing off her new walking skills!
Naptime with Nonnie
Curly Q slept great!
First "tattoo" :)
Happy girl!
On Saturday, we slept until 11 am! That hasn't happened in ages! We were going to go to the museum and brunch that day, but decided to hold off on walking all over a museum with my "scheduled" bed rest situation. Instead, we hit up one of my favorite diners. After lunch, we went to our 3D ultrasound. It was so special getting to see our sweet Bailey together!

After picking up Ashlynn that night, we were able to go by Mark's parent's house and enjoy dinner with them. It was great being able to catch up with his parents and his brothers!

Baby B: 28 weeks

Well...28 weeks brings a little more change than the previous posts.  Let's see...last weekend I started feeling uncomfortable/having some contractions.  I rested a lot, drank some water and they stopped.  This past Thursday I had my checkup with Dr. E.  Bailey is looking great, her heartbeat was 157-160, and I am measuring 30 weeks.  But, because of everything going on, he put me on "pre-modified" bed rest. He said this is our way of avoiding full and or/hospital bed rest. Basically I have to lay down several times a day for an hour or so, and take it easier on things around/outside of the house.  On an exciting note, we had our 3D sono on Saturday and got to see pictures and video of our sweet Bailey girl! Please join us in praying that my body cooperates and that I do not have to go on bed rest!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 weeks
Size of baby: 14.8 inches, and she should be around 2.25 lbs, about the weight of a Chinese Cabbage
Weight gain: +11 (-1 from last week, most likely from nausea last weekend)
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Gender: Another sweet girl!
Movement: Yes! It was great seeing her on the sono so that we know what is kicking/hitting me!
Sleep: Sleep has been better this past week!
Symptoms:  Exhaustion, backache, uncomfortable, nausea, headaches, stretch marks (ahh no!)
What I miss: Nothing right now, just so glad Bailey is healthy!
Cravings: Oreos
Best moment this week: Seeing our sweet girl on the ultrasound and celebrating 4 years with my sweet husband!
What I am looking forward to: A restful week with sweet A
Dad and Big Sister: Mark is adjusting to the news of scheduled bed rest and figuring out ways to help me out! Ashlynn has been so happy this week. We are done with formula, and she is walking all over!

4,3,2,1...!

4 years
3 babies
2 apartments,
and 1 dog later...

We have grown up (in some ways!).

We have been stupid young.

We have endured separation, and relished in closeness.

We have embarked on many unknown journeys.

We have committed.

We have built friendships.

We have learned to do life together.

We have made changes, and resolutions.

We have laughed, cried, fought and struggled together.

We have experienced the miracle life.

And we have loved.

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."
Colossians 3:14
