The girls and I took advantage of what was most likely the last cool day before summer, and headed to check out the new hippo exhibit at the zoo!

Uncle Duty Visits!
My brother was in town last weekend, so we jumped at the chance to hang out with him for the day at Gaga and Gator's house!

Welcome to Miami
Mark won an award at work, and was given a trip for the 2 of us to Miami!
We flew out on a Wednesday and were ready for some R&R!
That night,we got cleaned up and headed down for a dinner by the pool. It was great to meet some of the people that Mark works with.
The next morning, Mark went deep sea fishing (early!), while I got breakfast and coffee and enjoyed the view.
I chose to spend my day on the beach reading. It was GLORIOUS!
After fishing, Mark jet skied, and I took a nap :) We got all cleaned up for dinner, followed by drinks and hanging out.
The work trip ended Friday AM, but we decided to extend our trip by a few days. We rented a convertible and headed south to enjoy the Keys and Key West.
We went over an island that was a deer refuge, and there were deer everywhere!
That night we checked out Duvall Street and stayed out way later than this mama was used to!
We slept in the next day, and felt refreshed and ready for brunch! We went to Blue Heaven and loved it!
We had Key Lime Pie at every restaurant we went to!
In Key West, chickens can legally roam freely-they were all over town!
We walked past and saw the Hemingway House (didn't have cash to tour it).
We spent the afternoon touring the island. We went to the fort, and checked out a Rum Distillery!
That night, we had food down by the water, and then went to Mallory Square to see the sunset! It was beautiful!
The next morning, we loaded up and enjoyed a beautiful drive back to Miami, where we headed to the airport.
Our flight got delayed 2.5 hours, so we wasted time until we could get home to our girlies!
Speaking of which...they had a great time while we were gone! They spent 2 days with "Ms. Kelli", our sitter. We were so thankful for her!
Then they got to have a sleepover with sweet Harper and Mr. George!
They wrapped up their stay with Gaga and Maynard!
