#michiganadventures

Towards the end of August, Tonya and I decided to head up to Michigan to visit Katie,Ben and Kelynn! That meant braving the airport twice, with 2 babies, but I think we did pretty good!

We made sure to get to DFW early on Saturday, leaving time for breakfast and playing out A's early morning energy.

It was a pretty successful morning, minus Bailey peeing on me before we even went through security!

Our flight there was great. A slept almost the entire way, and Miss B was super chill.

It was so fun watching Ashlynn and Kel play together. They spent so much time together when they were babies! Ben and Katie were gracious enough to have us up right after they moved, so the girlies had fun playing in a box fort :)

It was also fantastic to get to relax and catch up with our sweet friends! We just picked up right where we left off!

Curly headed friends
Trying out Baby Girl Zuv's toys for her!
While there, we went to the beach! I couldn't quite wrap my head around the concept of a beach in Michigan, but it was beautiful!

Ashlynn was NOT sure about the sand or the water at first.  Once she got used to it, she was ok. She preferred sitting on the blanket digging in the sand the most.

And as per her norm, Miss B slept through all of our beach fun!

That Monday, Ben and Katie had work, so we hit up a local park that had splash pads and a beach. Later that evening, Tonya and I cooked dinner for the Zuv's!

On Tuesday, we were going to try and fly out around lunch time, but found out the flight was almost full.  Instead of try and chase A around an airport for 6 hours until the next flight, we decided to check out the Children's Museum. I am so glad we did-it was such fun!

BUBBLES!

Our flight home was a little more interesting, as A started to get cranky, but even then, it was not bad at all!

Ben and Katie-Thank you SO much for having us!! It was great to catch up and to love on your growing family! Can't wait to see you again soon! Love yall!

Ashlynn: 19-20 Months

Ashlynn,

You are 20 months old! Here is a little peek back at the past few months!

You are sassy. Feisty. Saracastic. Joyful. Too smart. Crazy. Precious. And cr-ecious. Apparently you can't decide if you are crazy or precious, so you call yourself cr-ecious. So fitting!

You love your sister fiercely.  You love your Mommy and Daddy just as much! A few other loves:
Accessories
Stickers
Babies
Frog (Your paci)
Grandparents and Uncles
Buppies! (Bubble Guppies)

You are still fearless. But you have started to gain a little reasonable caution. Hallelujah. Although, that somehow does not stop you from jumping from high places, or climbing onto anything possible :)

You are a ham. You see a camera and go "Cheese!!!" You will pose when we try to take your picture as well.

You eat anything. Lima beans, bananas, strawberries, and broccoli are favorites. You also love "doodles" aka noodles.  You drink lots and lots of milk and water.  Normally you eat 3 meals, and snack in between each of them. You love to feed yourself, even if it is messy! Also you have a crazy obsession with ice. It is pretty hilarious to see how excited you get over it!

You are wearing size 24 month-2 t clothing for the most part, although some 18 month still fit.  You are in size 6.5 shoes, and size 5 diapers. At night time you will wear sleep diapers.

This month, you flew on an airplane for the 2nd time.  We went to visit your friend Kel, and you got to go to the beach for the first time!

You are talking up a storm. You know "1,2,3" and "A,B,C".  You will also pretend to sign the alphabet.  You know the color yellow. You have started telling us after you go "poop". I am hoping this is the first step toward potty training! You also started sleeping in your toddler bed some.

Here are a few of your nicknames:
Mommy calls you "ash-bash" or "Ash-Ash"
Daddy calls you "Baby A"
Bampa and Granny call you "Little Bit" and "Sweet Pea"
You call yourself "Ah-een"

Our sweet girl, you are such a joy. You are a light in our lives, and keep us rolling. Each day, we learn new things about you! We pray that the Lord would use your joy for His glory, and that you would know Him, baby girl. It is hard to believe that in just 4 short months you will be 2!

We love you,
Mommy and Daddy

Happy {Belated} 4 Months!

Bailey,

You turned 4 months old almost a month ago. Mommy is a little behind, because life has been CRAZY!

Here is a little about you at 4 months:

You went for a checkup this month. Your stats were:

Weight: 15 lbs (76%)
Height: 25.5 in (90%)

You also went to the doctor the week before you turned 4 months, because you had a pretty rough stomach bug :/

At 4 months, you were wearing size 3 month, 3-6 month, and even a few 6 month outfits. You are SO long! You were taking 5 oz bottles every 2.5-3 hours. You were wearing size 2 diapers, and cloth diapers at home. Your feet are too big for 0-3 month socks now, and you are not a fan of shoes.

You are still working on teeth! You have been chewing on anything that you can get your hands on. You are also a drooly baby.

You have become much more active this month.  You are using your exersaucer, doing tummy time, and even sitting in the bumb0. You have also started grasping for toys in front of you. During this month, you slept in your bouncy seat most nights, because you still were not a fan of laying flat to sleep. Speaking of sleep, you are still not sleeping through the night. You wake up at 12 and 4 to eat, but always go right back to sleep.

You swam for the first time this month. Water must make you really sleepy, because you once again slept most of the time!

We love that your little personality is emerging.  You have started to make faces, to jabber and to laugh.  You light up when you see a familiar face, especially your sisters! You are a very chill baby, and love to just lay or sit and watch what is going on.

Sweet Miss B, we love you so much! You are already your sisters favorite person, and have your daddy tied around all of your fingers.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
