Ashlynn's 1st Haircut

Way back on May 4, Ashlynn got her first haircut! I found these pictures today while I was organizing pictures, and wanted to be able to remember this someday! The stylist gave us a few locks of hair, which are in a classy plastic baggie.  Mark thinks it is gross that I kept them, but this is coming from the guy who still has all of the teeth that he lost in a plastic container.

They had a movie for her to watch and a car for her to ride in.  Poor thing was dealing with allergies that day, but she was a trooper! She had a hard time sitting still because she wanted to watch all of the kids around her.

It wasn't a ton of hair, but it was starting to look like a "hot mess" and needed some taming! We were afraid that cutting it would make it lose the curl, but that was definitely not the case. It is funny seeing how short it was only 2 months ago...considering it looks like this now:

Take me out to the ballgame!

2 weeks ago, we took Ashlynn to her first Ranger's game!

We met up with our home group, and went to the game with them!

Before we went into the stadium, we hung out in the grass for a bit. Ashlynn was being pretty clingy/whiny, so we were not sure how the game was going to go.

Miss Accessorized

I carried her in the Ergo carrier up to our seats, and the entire way up she was loving the people and the excitement! When we got up to our seats, she hopped right up in an empty one.  From that point on, she was in baseball heaven!

She got to eat all kinds of fun food! She had (part of) a hot dog, some popcorn, peanuts, fruit, and ice cream in a hat.  She spent a lot of the game bouncing back and forth from row to row. She really loved sitting on the front row, where there was a little extra leg room, with our friend Heather. She cheered, and danced and just had the best time!

After the game there were fireworks. This was a first for her as well! We were not sure if she would be afraid of them, or like them...but of course she loved them!

Baseball is such a love of ours, so it made us a little giddy that Ashlynn enjoyed it as much as we did! We are excited for the next time we can take her to a game.

Little Fishy!

Ashlynn has gone to splash pads, and played in kiddie pools a few times this summer! She has absolutely loved them, and been quite fearless.

She also had her first "real" swim of the season! She loved swimming last year, but was too little too remember much about it.  She thinks her frog floaties are great, but is a little unsure about the swimming part. I think she is more content to splash around, or float along!

And when that gets old, there is nothing wrong with a little "floating-nap!"

Or even a snack in the pool!

And the best part? Drying out in the sun!

Bailey: 3 Months

Bailey,

You are 3 months old! I love the changes that come with 3 months. You have become much more alert. You smile and you recognize our faces! It is such a joy to see you figure out what this whole "life" thing is about!

We did not go to the doctor this month. I would guess that you weigh 14.5-15 pounds.  You are wearing size 0-3, 3 month and 3-6 month clothes.  You are in size 1-2 disposable diapers, and we just started back on cloth diapers this week.

You currently take 4.5-5 oz. every 3(ish) hours. You are still a pretty slow eater :) In the past week you have started getting on more of a schedule. You normally wake up around 7-7:30. You go to bed around 9:30-10. During the day you take at least 3 naps, one of which is normally quite long.  You now take a paci, and you finally like one that is better for your teeth!

You have such a calm, sweet spirit. You are also a tad "dramatic" already! Your face lights up when you see your sister, and you are patient with her even when she wants to point out your nose or belly button, or tries to give you a paci!

Your tummy issues seem to be either under control or subsiding. We are so glad about that, because it was hard to see you in pain so often.

You are a strong girl. If you are propped up on our legs, you will pull your head up and try to sit up! When you do tummy time, you can wiggle yourself over the pillow and across the mat.

You still love the swing and the bouncy seat.  You also love to bounce and rock. Sometimes when you sleep, you get very fidgety, but you calm down as soon as I rest my hand on your chest.

We took a road trip to your Uncle Shane's new house, and you did great! You are very flexible in general, and just went with the flow while we were there.

It is hard to believe that time is flying so fast with you sweet girl! Your daddy and I love you so much, and pray that your sweet spirit will be used to glorify the Lord. We love to see you with your sister, and can't wait to see how your relationship with her develops!

We love you,
Mommy and Daddy
