Puerto Rico Day 5

We spent the day of day 4 hiking in the rainforest. It was beautiful, and not near as hot or rainy as we expected!

There was a waterfall, where you could sit on rocks and go for a swim.  We stopped there for lunch.

That afternoon, we went to McDonald's (Again!) and then got ready for our Bio Bay Tour. Getting to the parking area for our tour was The.Most.Stressful. car drive of my life. Praise the Lord we made it in one piece (although a little late!)

When we signed up for a bio bay kayak tour, for some reason I was anticipating that it would be a quick kayak out into the ocean, and then the water would glow. Not so much! We kayaked through a tunnel of mangrove trees and into a lagoon.  On the way out it was pitch black, and you only knew which way to go based on the  glow stick on the kayak in front of you!! I am SO thankful that Mark is patient, and was willing to kayak most of the time, because I was nervous!

After our tour, we went to a great restaurant with a patio. It was such a great ending to our trip!!

Puerto Rico Day 4

On Day 4, we headed out on a snorkeling boat tour of the island of Culebra.  This was probably my favorite part of our trip! We snorkled with sea turtles, and then in a reef area. We finished up on beautiful Flamenco Beach, where we relaxed and snacked!

The view of Fajardo as we left.

Here are a few "go-pro" pictures from snorkeling!

And now we are headed to Flamenco Beach, as long as a lot of pictures while we were there!

That afternoon, the boys went hiking and searching for a "secret" beach, while the girls....you guessed it...read on the roof!

We headed out that night for dinner at the kiosks in Luqillo. This picture is horrible, but thankfully I pulled my hair up soon after :)
