Summa,Summa,Summa-time!

Here is a little summertime "photo dump"! It has been such a fun summer!! The weather has been milder than normal, and it is the first summer since having kids that we can really get out and do fun things with them!
A few weeks ago , we went to the "circus" out at an outdoor pavilion in town.  Ashlynn thought it was funny, Bailey just wanted her snacks ;)

We have also swam a lot at Mark's parents house, including a fun playdate with their friends from church! Another day, we checked out a local watermark/splash park with friends.

Ashlynn helped Papa work on his bike one night!

This has also been the summer of lazy Mondays, and lots of afternoon naps!

We are going to do a little "school" around here in August, and the girls are getting a head start!

One day it was raining, so we painted the raindrops.

Here are a few more random, but fun pictures!

College Station

My brother is moving, so we packed up the crew and headed down south to help him pack.

Friday night, he took us to a mexican food restaurant to eat.  It was heaven.
A) They had a play area on the patin for kids
B) It was during our "polar vortex" and it was a gorgeous night
C) They had melt in your mouth carne-asada that I am still dreaming about!

Shane had to work half of Saturday, but got up early to get us Shipley's before he left. A certain toddler was beyond ecstatic!

While he was gone, we donned our Aggie maroon, and worked on packing.

He got home and joined in the fun!

For dinner, the guys grilled out. The girls played on his swing set while we cooked, and they had a blast!

At one point, I came outside to them working, and laughing about something.

It turns out that Shane caught a frog.  Ashlynn was giggling like crazy. I thought she would be scared of it, but she surprised us.

The next day, I was pretty under the weather, thanks to a 4 am stomach bug.  The guys loaded boxes, and mom and the girls "cleaned" and packed.  Ashlynn had fun walking in her Uncle Shanes shoes all day!

We wrapped up with a little playing, and then hit the road home.  Hopefully we will get to head that way again this fall for some football fun!

Ah-Panes

Back in college, Mark and I would drive out to the airport, park next to the runway, and watch planes take off. It was such a realizing time to talk and get away from the busy day to day.  Fast forward to present time: Ashlynn has a love of airplanes. She is always looking for them in the sky.  We decided it would be fun to take her back to our same spot to watch airplanes. Bailey napped the whole time, so she missed out on the fun.

It was a huge success (even with a storm rolling overhead), and we will be back again soon!
