NYE 2016

We spent NYE day working on projects around the house, and taking down Christmas lights. The biggest (but easiest) project was removing solar screens from our windows. Our house looks much better now!

That night, the Despains came over, and we had a lazy fun night with them!

The kiddos enjoyed an early countdown and toast in their jammies and then headed to bed!

Us adults were super lame, and everyone was home and in bed by 11:30!

Christmas part 2

On Christmas Day, we enjoyed family time (and nerf gun wars gone bad!) and then Mark's family came over.

We apparently had such a fun time that I only took one picture!!

The next day, Papa, Nonnie and Nanny came over for lunch and dinner!

Christmas Part 1

On Christmas Eve Eve we headed to my moms for Christmas.  Shane and Alicia, along with Granny and Bampa were in town!

Shane and Alicia had a surprise addition with them. The girls LOVED their new puppy Wrigley!

We spent most of our time being incredibly lazy. It was great :)

The girls were so thankful for their gifts, and loved giving gifts to others.

Their new frozen scooters were HUGE hits!

We headed home on Christmas Eve, and enjoyed a Christmas morning at our house with our little family! Ash got a lot of science themed gifts and a remote control car. Bailey got a remote controlled dinosaur (with a crown!) and art themed gifts. We all got nerf guns :)

"Snow" Day

The day before her birthday, Ash prayed for snow. What she didn't know was that snow flurries were actually in the forecast for that day! Her reaction to flurries was "THANK YOU GOD! YOU ARE SO GOOD!" That made this mama's heart happy for sure! It was such a joy to play outside and catch snow flurries with these precious girls!

5th Birthday Parties

Ashlynn requested a "Shimmer and Shine" party this year! She wanted to have her party at her gymnastics gym, so we did a friends party there with a family party at our house that night.

The gymnastics party was SO easy and SO fun! 

 

Right at the start of our family party, the birthday girl fell and scraped her knee up pretty good. Thankfully Daddy had the magic touch and got her fixed up!

She got "accessories" for gifts and grew up 5 years in the process!!

She was so kind and let her friends and sister help her with gifts at each party!

She wanted an "oopsie" cake and did a great job decorating it!
