February Photos!

Here are a few pictures from other fun moments this past month!

We had to go to the car dealership a few times for a recall fix on my car, and the girls were SO well behaved! I was so proud, and received quite a few compliments on them.

We had family pictures, and bribed Ashlynn with ice cream ;)

One night it was beautiful out, so we took the girls for a walk to the park. They rode their tricycles and loved it. Ashlynn did not want us to help steer or push hers, so she rode the entire way on her own!

The girls were in desperate need of haircuts. Ashlynn hadn't had one in about 6 months, and Bailey's first haircut was a quick trim in the kitchen.

We went to a very girly salon, and they gave the girls glitter and face art. It was a success!

We have been having picnics after bible study each Wednesday. I couldn't help but snap a picture of how sweet and big Bailey looked!

Ashlynn watches these weird playdoh videos on You Tube, and she sat down on her own one day and recreated it.

"Cheese!"

Bathtime is fun when you have bubbles and a sister to play with!

Snow Over It

Yep. This post deserves a corny title. I am SO over the snow/ice here in Texas.  I know my friends elsewhere will laugh at this-but most of you know the ice skating rink that our roads become.

Last week we had snow/ice days Monday-Wednesday, and Friday-Saturday. Add in the stomach bug that we had on Thursday, and it was a l-o-n-g week!

Alas, here are a few cute pictures of the few moments we did run outside to play!

The excitement was real on snow day 1! (It was all ice, but we pretended!)

A picture of the girls was even tweeted by the local news station!

After that, we spent a LOT of time cuddling and watching too much tv!

And we may have taken a few selfies as well ;)

The next day there was real snow. We made a snowman (and ate him!)

Followed by...more cuddles of course!

We went to my moms Thursday night. My stepdad watched the girls while my mom and I went to a consignment sale.  We were not expecting bad weather, and intended to go to Arlington to see Mark's family on Friday. The weather ended up getting bad pretty quickly. We ended up staying at my moms until lunchtime Saturday when we could safely drive home!

Gator played Hungry Hippos for a while!

Gaga made the girls "snow" cones and they loved them!

Now that it is March, I thought we would for sure be past winter weather...but now they are saying there may be another round coming tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that it is nothing!

Ballet

We decided this semester was a good time to enroll Ashlynn in her first "activity". She turned 3, and can participate in a variety of classes.  We had originally wanted to sign her up for soccer, but did not want to go to an 8 am soccer game each Saturday. (Sorry Ash...I will pay for counseling related to that remark someday I am sure!) Instead, we decided to sign her up for dance, with her "best" Addie!

This is Ashlynn before her first class!

And here she is in class!

Here she is getting ready for another class!

It has been a fun experience to join our first class. We will probably try out something a little faster paced (I found a weekday soccer class!) in the fall, but it has been a good experience so far!

Headed home & the girls

On our last day, we woke up, headed to the airport and flew home! Poor Mark was NOT feeling well, and sleep the entire 5 hour flight home :/

We had a few special visitors when we got to the airport!

And speaking of the girlies, they were well taken care of while we were gone! They got to spend the week at Gator & Gaga's! Here are a few pictures we got while we were gone:

Ashlynn watched an episode of Peppa right before we left where Peppa had a sleepover and they did facials. She told my mom that she couldn't come for a sleepover unless they did masks ;)

The girls had such a great time, and we were (are) so thankful that my mom and Arthur watched them and loved them while we were gone!
