Welcome Little D!

On June 16, I was out to dinner with a friend, when we got a call for a little baby boy who needed a temporary home. We had been waiting for a call for about a week. That night was a mixture of anxiousness, excitement, and sadness for this little guy and his family.

He arrived after the girls had gone to bed, and was as tiny as could be. His name is Dawson, and he was born June 3, 2017.

The girls woke up the next morning and loved on this little guy so much! It is such a blessing that they have loved and adjusted so well.

Little man is the sweetest, easiest baby. We feel so blessed that the Lord chose us to love on him for however long he needs it. We are earnestly praying for the reconciliation of his family and restoration of their relationships.

Father's Day 2017

Father's Day 2017 was extra special because we had a new addition with us. Little D made Mark a foster dad for the first time ever.

The girls were/are obsessed with his sweet self!

Little man slept most of the day away.

He did get dressed up all snazzy for his first trip (with us) to church!

Rangers Fun

Before it got too hot out, we wanted to take the girls to a Rangers game!

There was a rain delay-so we got some dinner while we waited.

9:00 start time, but these girls were still going strong!

It was UNT night, so we got our free hats!

And daddy surprised the girls with ice cream in a hat!

1st half of June 2017

Here is a peek of the 1st half of our June! Our lives changed in a BIG way mid June-so I wanted to break this post up.

The girls and I loved enjoying lazy summer days together!

A little Target-lazy style! 

We enjoyed National Donut day!

And went on our road trip!

We played with a lot of playdoh.

And tended to our (growing!) garden!

We enjoyed story time at the library.

And swimming with friends!

Mark and I got a date night with friends!

Grammy came for the day to visit.

And we took our last picture as a family of 4 for a while...!
