Happy 3rd Birthday B!

Bay-Bay,

THREE YEARS! We cannot believe you are 3 years old! Your spunky spirit brings such life to our home, and you love to keep us on our toes!!

We went to the doctor last week for your checkup. Your stats were:

Weight- 36 lbs (80%)

Height- 98 in (45%)

You are wearing size 4t or Girls XS clothes. You are in size 8.5 shoes, and you are in panties full time!!

As I try to think of words to describe you, my heart just smiles. You are so particular, so stubborn and so feisty. But in the BEST of ways. You know what you want-and you go after it. I LOVE your sweet cuddles. You do not always give them, and we savor the moments when you forget that you "don't like kisses" ;) Yesterday you told me that your sissy was your hero, and you love your daddy so much!

At 3, you:

-Know your ABCs

-Count to 10

-Know your shapes and colors

-Are so creative and love ALL things art

-Want to be Anna

-Your favorite toys are your babies and baby care items

-Favorite foods: Corn dogs

-You love to play in water and draw with chalk

-Call it a "sharkie" if you toot in your pants (!!!)

You are starting to become Miss Independent. You must crawl in and out of the car by yourself, and buckle your self up.  You love to run, and swing.  You do not like to be uncomfortable or have dirty feet. You also do NOT like me to do your hair, and will pull ponytails out within hours. You can push buttons in the funniest ways, and have such a silly mischievous face!

Our Bailey girl, your smiles, hugs, and love are just TOO much! The Lord blessed our entire family with you, and life would not be the same without you! Your sister loves looking out for you-and you look up to her so much. Happy third birthday to our baby girl!!

Puerto Rico Days 5-9

On Thursday morning, we headed out after breakfast to meet our friends in San Juan! I got to hang out by the pool with Hailey while the boys picked up everyone from the airport.

We started out part 2 of the trip by having lunch at the restaurant where the Pina Colada was invented.

We then went to the Fort in Old San Juan. It was beautiful, and it is pretty breathtaking to think of the history it holds.

After the Fort, the guys headed to chill while us girls went in search of souvenirs for the kiddos!

We then met up for a delicious Spanish dinner.

The next day we slept in a bit since Mark was still sick, and then met up with our friends for a day at the beach.  We ate lunch and then headed to Fajardo for stop 3 of our trip!

We unloaded and had takeout pizza to eat for dinner so we could relax and catch up!

On Saturday, we were up early. We had a private boat charter all day-and it was spectacular! 

Our guide took us to different islands throughout the day. When we got to the first, we were the only ones there! While we were exploring, we saw WHALES jumping in the ocean! We hopped in the boat and tried to get closer, but they were gone once we got out further.

Next up, everyone but me went snorkeling. I enjoyed my drink and cozy spot on the boat :)

This truly was in my top 5 days ever.

We checked out the island that the Waldorf is renting and ate lunch. Afterwards, we went to my favorite spot of the day- La Palomina. It is a teeny tiny island (think sand bar in the middle of the ocean!) We were in awe of how beautiful it was.

That night we got cleaned up for dinner and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

On our last full day, we filled up on delicious brunch food to start the day.

And then did this. Nothing! The boys played in the ocean while us girls sat in the shade, under umbrellas, and read! It was just what we needed before heading back to real life.

That night we hit up our favorite restaurant from last year one last time.

On Monday, we ate brunch and headed home to our girlies!

Puerto Rico Days 1-4

In January, Mark and I got the opportunity to go back to Puerto Rico. We decided to go a few days before our friends, and enjoy a little couples vacation in Rincon!

On the way to Rincon, I got us "lost", and we ended up seeing a rainstorm and a gorgeous view!

On the first night, we wanted to watch Football playoffs. We found a bar & grill that was having a Patriots watching party (with roasted pig!) and joined in the fun. We then walked down the road to a delicious oceanside restaurant for dinner.

They had chairs on the beach where we were able to enjoy a drink after dinner.

The next day, Mark got a sinus infection. I spent most of the day sitting on our patio (of the BEST B&B ever!) I have no pictures of breakfast or our amazing food-because we always left our phones in our room. We stayed at the English Rose, and it was fantastic. The room was just what we needed, breakfast (British brunch!) was included, and the owners were kind and helpful!

That afternoon, we headed into town to get Mark some meds and to check out the town.  We went to the Rincon Beer Company-which we loved! We also checked out the local beaches.

The first beach was more of a swimming beach, 

 

and the second was the "surfer's beach".

That night we ate at a pizza restaurant.

On Tuesday, we headed out after breakfast to drive down to Playa Susia. 

On the way in, we saw pink sea salt!

This beach is in a cove, and was beautiful! You could hike on paths up to lighthouses or out to the far point. We opted to swim and then head out for lunch.

For lunch, we checked out a little spot on the water. We had appetizers and they were great!

We headed back that night and got ready for dinner. We ate at a restaurant that was in the front yard of a house-and it was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere was great as well!

The next morning I did a little reading while Mark caught up on some work.

We then hit up another local beach that was recommended to us by our B&B owners. 

That night, we went to the Mayaguez Indios playoff game! It was such a neat experience, and quite different from US baseball games!
