Bring on October!

October is (already!) here, and along with it are cooler (read:not 90 degree) days and nights spent outside!

One day the girls "threw a party" in their bathroom. Their party consisted of throwing hair product up in the air like confetti...haha

They entertained each other one day while I was getting ready,

and grandma came for a visit!

We got to go to Mark's softball game, and the girls were SO excited to wear their new "cheerleading shirts!

Tailgate fun

For the past few years, we have joined Shane & Alicia to tailgate at the A&M v. Arkansas game. This year we took the girls with us and they had a blast!

Ashlynn moved the little chairs right in front of the tv so they could watch the Rangers!

They absolutely loved playing with Papa, Shane and Alicia. Ashlynn said she wanted to "hold Alicia's hand all day"

They even got in a little dancin' with daddy!

A few Arkansas & Aggie college girls took a liking to the girls and say on a tailgate playing with them for almost 2 hours. The girls loved the attention ;)

By the end of the night, they were pooped. We left a few minutes before the Aggies pulled off a win!

First Soccer Game

Ashlynn has been practicing with her soccer team for the past few weeks. We were unsure of how her first game would go, based on her fear/weariness at practice...and we were right to have apprehensions!

Bailey was SO excited to wear her purple and orange shirt and "cheer" on the Tigers!

Ashlynn got out and practiced a bit before the game.

But then, fear hit. She wanted Mama and only mama.

She was NOT a fan of a team picture!

We did get her to join the pre-game meeting, though!

When it came time for her to play, she would only go if I went. So out I went! I kept trying to convince her to let Mark go with her-because lets be honest, sports are MUCH more his thing!

Finally, (after a bribe from the grandparents!) she grabbed Mark's arm and willingly went out to play!

She even let go of his hand and ran off to play at the end!

They were both pretty excited about that!

We are hoping that each game gets easier for her, and mostly just wanting for her to have fun learning something new!

Little Ags!

Ashlynn has become obsessed with her Uncle Shane's Aggies. She will ask me "Is it Aggie Day?" so that she can wear her Aggie dress! I am not sure what she will do tomorrow when Uncle Shanes Ags take on Uncle Mike's Razorbacks! Yikes!

Hair, there and everywhere!

I have learned that one giant post can be much easier than short posts. Here are a bunch of pictures that I loved from the past month! We will call it a little "September Wrap Up"!

Ashlynn is obsessed with helping me with yard work. And even more so with the worms we find. She thinks they are all the same worm- Slobbery. Once they "get tired" she puts them back in the ground to "rest and not dry out"!

I snapped this after church one day. Love love love these smiles!

Mark was testing out his new shop vac, and gave Ashlynn a "Daddy-style" pony tail :)

Miss Priss is starting to become a fan of fun hairstyles

We had a fun evening with family and family friends recently, and got this cute picture of Cindy & I!

Bailey has entered the "tutu" phase. She wants to wear them ALL.OF.THE.TIME!

Mark and I got to go to the Cowboys pre-game with his work. It was such a fun night!

The girls bought balloons to take Granny in the hospital! They are so sweet to pray for her and Bampa (and so many others) each night.

We even ran into "Lee-sha" while we were there!

Last week, Mark and I went to a date at the concerts at the Arboretum.  We had a little issue with keys getting locked into the car, so we ended up sitting on the curb and talking for an hour-and it was great. So thankful for time to just chat and laugh and enjoy one another.

We sat in the car in the parking lot once it got unlocked and listened to the Rangers game while Mark finished his "pity drink"!

Pigtails. Tutus. And Arbys (Barbies). Such a girly girl!

I got my hair done and took a shameless selfie ;)

Ice cream with friends

that led to a sugar crash!

These.sisters. They fight like cats and dogs-but are the best of friends!

Each of the girls got to pick new shoes. Same color, but different personalities! Ash went for comfort and laces, while B went for "Ballet shoes" with bows!

Next up...much needed haircuts!

It's a shame that B doesn't know how to get comfy :)

That night Ash had soccer practice, and wanted to show off her "muscles!"

And now, we are laying on the couch on the last leg of a stomach bug. So glad our girl is headed toward feeling better. Now here is to hoping no one else gets sick!
