Pictureless Post

Here are some random bullets of the things that are said/done around our house these days!

*If Ashlynn wants to do something on her own, she says "I got! I got!"

*Ashlynn took her diaper off today while watching tv. I said, "Ashlynn, we need to leave our diaper on." She looked at me with the most puzzled face and said, "Oh?"

*When Ashlynn gets excited about something you said, she says "HUH?! HUH!?"

*Bailey has started pointing at things and saying "Dat?"

*We have been cheering for B when she walks, so the other day Ashlynn started running and saying "Yay! Ashlynn run!"

*A has figured out how to run the DVD player (WHAT? She is TWO!). We have now had to hide all of the DVDs so that she won't use them.

*Bailey loves to read. She will find the biggest book she can and drag it all over the house, asking anyone she sees "Book? Book!"

*On the way to church a few weeks ago, Ashlynn started counting. She made it all the way to 12, and we didn't even know she knew past 5!

*Ashlynn is really great at asking to pray.  She will say "Pray God is good".  When we ask her to pray, she bows her head and whispers under her breath and then says "Ah-men."

*Ashlynn will ask "Mama, you ok? You ok?" and then give me a kiss or a hug if she thinks something is wrong

*Bailey has a tem-per. Holy moly.  This morning she got frustrated and cried "MOMMMY!" It was her first time to say mommy, and such a pleasant exchange haha!

*Bailey's favorite snack is dirt. Anytime the door is open, she will scurry outside and start eating leaves, rocks, dirt, whatever she can find.

*Ashlynn will look in the mirror and talk (to herself? a friend? who knows!). Every time, she says "Oh hi! I Ash-wynn. Dis Mama, dis Zeus, dis Bay-Bay" (or whoever happens to be nearby!)

Memorial Day 2014

For Memorial Day, we made a much anticipated trip to Austin to meet our favorite new tiny person!

We drove down on Friday, and rented a house with friends for the long weekend. Ashlynn thought it was "Tacie's house!" She loved the extra attention from some of her favorite people (spoiled much?)

We spent our mornings relaxing, swinging and eating on the porch.

Bailey was not too sure about meeting Miss MJ at first, but started to warm up to her by the end of our stay!

We spent Saturday relaxing, and grilling out.

On Sunday, we hit up one of the many restaurants with playgrounds for lunch! Dear DFW, please catch on to this trend stat!

Us girlies got pedicures, and then we headed to swim.  The girls loved the water!

All weekend, we had been promising A that she could have a "va-ni-ya ice team tone",so she got to end the day with one on Sunday :)

We wrapped up the weekend meeting a good friend for lunch, and then hit the road home! We are so blessed to have friends near and far who we love like family!

Sister, Sister

I think these 2 are finally going from sister to friend :)

Riding the bouncing turtle

Playing in dirt together

See saw

"Bay Bay dink? Bay Bay tirsty"

Causing trouble together...

Riding the "BIG" cycle

Helping mama "cook" pan-lakes (aka waffles!)

Sweet cuddles!

Wagon rides together

Family reunion fun

Little pink riding hood is reading a book to her sister

*I would like to add that as I am typing this post, they are fighting like cats and dogs.  No proof of this, because let's be honest, who has time to snap a picture in the middle of a girl fight?!

Life Lately: Here comes summer!

We have been up to all kinds of fun lately! Summer is on its way, which means it is nice outside (for a few more weeks!).

We enjoyed dinner and pie with friends.

We biked and boated with Papa & Nonnie! Academy= a playground in toddler world!

We have had to wear our shades a lot lately...

We have dined.

And biked outside with neighbors.

We have hit up the parks, and played on many a swings!

All of that fun means that we have lounged a little too!

We had our first splash pad experience of the summer.

We celebrated the birthday of a new best friend! (Who we can't wait to meet!)

And had a yummy snow cone.

We have turned into crazy climbers.

And bakers.

All in all, I would say the summer looks like it will be a great one!
