Celebrations

In the past few months, we have had a few celebrations!

In December, my dad celebrated a birthday! (40, right dad?) We took him out to Applebee's to celebrate.

This past week, we celebrated both my mom & stepdad's birthdays!

We met up with my mom for a midday lunch to celebrate her birthday.

And then we had her and Arthur over for a dinner at our house (and some playing too!)

Super Fun

We had friends over last night for the Super Bowl. It is funny how when you become parents, and have multiple tiny people in your house, the night is totally different! It was still such fun, lots of laughter from sweet kiddos and delicious food/great conversations for us parents.

We headed to the store Saturday to stock up on yummy food. Ashlynn helped "push" the cart!

Bailey started out the day in her "Cheerleader Couture" haha.

Throughout the course of the night, crazy Ashlynn consumed all of the raw bell peppers in the picture below.

Sweet, sweet friends sharing a movie and a tent.

And Miss B shared her toys with her friend too!

The game was not too exciting, but we had plenty of entertainment :)

A few funnies and more than a few pictures!

Ashlynn has been talking up a storm lately, and some of the things that come out of that girls mouth crack us up!

Here are a few examples:
*Bailey dropped her sippy cup. Ashlynn jumped up, and ran over to her. She said "Bay-Bay, water, cup, uh oh!" She then picked it up, handed it to Bailey with a huge smile, and then said "Thanks!"
*A bit later, she came up to me and said "I want water too!"
*She has started to become scared of things. In an episode of Paw Patrol, there is a "snow monster". When it comes on, she gets scared, cuddles up to Mark (she will only watch that episode when he is home) and say "Monster!". Once the true "Monster" is revealed, she will laugh and laugh.
*When we stop at a red light, she will say "Ready??" until it turns green. She will then yell "GO!!!!" when it turns green. When I start driving, she yells "Yay, Mama!"
*If Zeus barks outside, she will march out and say "No, No No Zeus! Inside". Sometimes she will yell "treat!"
*A will fall down/hit her head/etc and she will look up and say "otay!!" letting us know that she is ok!

And now for a "regular life lately" photo dump...

Pushing B in the stroller

She loves to drum, and will ask for tongue depressors at the dr. so that she can do so

B LOVES to hang upside down!

Blowing kisses to daddy!

Bailey does this funny new thing when she smiles. She will smile normal, and then she will show her front teeth off, and grin SO big!

Happy 9 months Bailey!

Bailey,

You are 9 months old! The past month has been a rough one for you, filled with a stomach bug, a cold, 6 teeth, and working on sleeping through the night. Thankfully, the not-so-fun has not hampered your sweet spirit, your smile or your laughter!

We went to the doctor last week for your checkup! You are incredibly healthy, and got out without any shots!

Your stats:
Height: 28.75 in (90%)
Weight: 19.11 lbs (75%)
Head Circum: 45.6 cm (90%)

You are currently wearing size 9-12 month clothes, and a few 18 month leggings. You are wearing size 3 shoes (although you are still not a fan of socks or shoes.) You wear size 3 diapers.

You still eat some baby food, but you prefer to eat table food. A few favorites are puffs, oranges, potatoes and toast. You now eat 3 meals a day.

You had been taking a 5 oz bottle, 5 times a day (2 during the night). As of your doctors appt, he told us to drop the night feedings and up the day bottles.  We will also start sleep training, so that we can all get a little better sleep.  Because of sickness, teeth, and digestion issues, you spent most nights this month in mama's arm. Thankfully gas drops, gripe water and a new formula seem to help your tummy at night.

You got 5 teeth this month! That means that you spent a lot of time drooling and chewing on things! You also started crawling this month! We are so excited for you, and you are loving that you can be on the go!

Another big 1st is talking! You said mama and dada this month! Both words were said in the sweetest of ways!

You are our cuddly girl. You love to lounge, snuggle and bury your face into our shoulders!

You also love:
To bounce
Music
Your sister
Zeus' tail
To be outside, and the wind

You do not like:
Your carseat
Being left alone in a room
Having something (toy, etc) taken from you

BayBay, you are such a joy. You are growing way too fast for me, I think we need to slow down time just a bit! We continue to pray for your sweet spirit, and pray that the next month will hold better health for your little body.

We love you,
Mommy and Daddy

2nd Birthday Party

Ashlynn's 2nd birthday started like this…103.5 temp, a trip to the doctor, and a sick baby girl :/

Thankfully that evening she was feeling a little better, so her Gaga brought over a gift, and we shared a "donut cake" (It was intended for breakfast, but that wasn't happening.

Because of so much sickness, we had to push her party back a week. (Sadly, this meant some guests couldn't attend :/)

Her party was a Bubble Guppies theme. It is by far her favorite tv show right now. She and B stayed at grandparents over night, so that Mark and I could prep for the fun!

For food, we had:
Coral reef bites (Fruity pebble rice crispy treats)
Strawberry Spectacular (From an episode of the show)
Shark teeth (cheese cut in triangles)
Goldfish Bar

When she arrived to the party, she was beyond excited about all of the "Buppies!" and "Loons" (Balloons)

She spent a lot of time playing outside with her friends, blowing bubbles and riding around on toys.

And then it was cake time!

Our sweet girl had such a blast, and was tuckered out by the time the party was over!

(More pictures to be added from the camera soon!)
