College Station & Uncle Shane

Since Uncle Shane moved to College Station,we had all been missing him! We decided to take a trip to visit before he got busy with off season work on Kyle Field.

First order of business was cuddles, and showing him how to work his laptop ;)

On Saturday, we watched the 1/2 of the Aggie game at home, and then went to tailgate for the 2nd half (and the evening).

Ashlynn got a few lessons in tee-ball from 2 of her favorite guys.

And took a walk with Uncle Shane down to the pond.

Then it was time to watch more football, and for a few cuddles!

It was such a beautiful day outside!

The night ended with 2 sleepy girls!

On Sunday, we met up with my brother's girlfriend and her family for lunch and then headed home. It was SO nice to catch up with Shane!

Uncle Shane,
We love you and miss you! Thanks for letting us crash your house and turn it into a zoo for a few days. We can't wait to see you again soon!!

Love,
Baby A & Baby B (And their parents too!)

Halloween Night

On Halloween, the girls and I had a few "themed" activities planned. We played with pumpkins, colored with orange crayons, and ate a "Halloween" themed lunch!

"Ghost" Sandwich (PB&Raisins)
Pumpkin yogurt
"Scarecrow Straw" (Veggie sticks)
"Mini pumpkins" (Cheetos)

That night, my parents came over for a little trick or treat fun in our neighborhood! Ashlynn was so excited to be a "BEE!" again!

Little sister slept the entire time, so she enjoyed her night ;)

Ashlynn loved walking up and knocking on doors. She was so polite and would say thank you to each house!

The weather was beautiful,too!

Ashlynn developed a LOVE for suckers that night. I had to sneak them out of her bucker after each house, or else she would have eaten all of them (paper and all!)

It was such a fun night. Next year, we want to try to find a fall festival in the area to go to as well, but for our first "real" trick or treating, this was the perfect length of time and setup!

Trick or Treat @ AA

Last year, we got to take Ashlynn to trick-or-treat at Grandpa Tony's work. It was such fun, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take both girls this year!

Grandpa & Ashlynn, 2012 &2103

My sweet husband dressed up with the girls and I. He was a bug collector, and we were a butterfly, a bee and a ladybug!

We walked around the decorated halls and trick or treated. Ashlynn LOVED carrying her bucket (when she wasn't wanting to be carried by her grandma and grandpa!)

Uncle Mike came with us! He helped collect, and eat, candy!

Halloween at the Arboretum

This year we took our 2nd annual Halloween trip to the Arboretum with friends!

Last year compared to this year:
Kelynn, Addi and Ashlynn
Addi, Bailey and Ashlynn (Elliot was sleeping)

And here is my ladybug last year, compared with my ladybug this year:

We had a great time playing in the pumpkins and *trying* to take cute pics of the kiddos!

Next up was a picnic!

After lunch, I did capture a few of the mandatory "fall/pumpkin" photos.

We ended the day walking around, and hitting up the face-painting and petting zoo.

First time with makeup. And last for a LONG time!

I am so thankful for the sweet friends God has blessed us with, and for a beautiful fall day spent having fun.
