Happy 2 Months Dawson!

Dawson,

You are 2 months old! We love you so much-and consider it a privilege that the Lord chose us to love on you for however long needed.  

We haven't had your 2 month checkup yet, but at an appt last week you weighed 11.5 lbs and were 22 inches long!

You are wearing size 0-3 and 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.

You have such great head strength and head control. You LOVE tummy time and being held to look around a room.

You are NOT a fan of poop, or of the carseat!

You sleep amazingly. You nap great during the day-even with the loud noises of the house.  At night, you sleep from 10-4, and then again from 4:30-9!

You are slowly starting to get a schedule, but it is still nothing routine.

You have really woken up in the past month. It is such a joy to see your smiles and hear your coos!

Little man, we love you! The girls thing you are the "most handsomest baby ever". They love to dress you and cuddle you. We are praying that the Lord will save you, and that if it is in His will he will reunite your family quickly.

Three of a kind

We knew there was a chance that Dawson may get to go home with his mama soon, and Ashlynn wanted me to take their picture with him. That turned into a full photo shoot, and they were just precious!

Little D is 1 month old!

Dawson,

You are one month old! You have been with us for 2 weeks, and we love you to pieces! We are not sure how long we will be loving on you-but we pray that the Lord will bless your time with us, and that He will work in mighty ways for your family. For as long as he has you here, we will love on you with all we have.

You have spent most of the past 2 weeks sleeping. We found out you were born early-so that makes sense! You startle easily, unless you are swaddled. You love to be worn in the wrap, and HATE your carseat!

We had a checkup at the doctor last week. You were a little over 19 inches long, and weighed 7 lb 14 oz. You are wearing newborn diapers, and newborn clothes. Some of those are still a little baggy on you!

You are have been eating 2 oz every 2 hours-including throughout the night. Your mom let us know that you had been on Similac Sensitive-which was SO helpful for your little tummy. It has helped with your gas and spit up issues. It is still a struggle to burp you though! You always go right back to sleep during the night. You will sleep through anything-dog barking, girls yelling, doorbell....everything!

Speaking of the girls-they are in love with you! They have been such great helpers :)

Little Man, D, Little D, Deuce (thats what Ash calls you!)...
