Funny Faces

Pretty much since she was born, baby girl has had the funniest facial expressions! She loves to smile and laugh, as well as stick out her little tongue! But she also has some pretty funny faces when she doesn't like whats happening at the moment.

Sleepy girl

I have heard that some babies like sleep more than others.  It appears as though we were blessed with a child who LOVES her sleep! The only exception seems to be growth spurts, which make her super restless and equal one tired family!

She always yawns crooked, and in both directions! She is a super cuddle bug too! When we unswaddle her, she shoots her hands up as fast as she can...and sometimes she will work out of a swaddle enough to sleep with a hand in the air!

It seems like Baby A is up to something new every day!

Here she is hanging out in her crib. She is doing great sleeping in her own room....and is even sleeping through the night some!

We tried out the bumb0 for the first time last week. She was so happy to be able to sit up on her own.  It has been great for bathtimes, and to use while I get ready each morning!

We have been using the tablet to do tummy time while watching a few videos.  She loves seeing the bright colors that play along with the music.

In the past week or so she has started to discover her hands.  She will wrap her arms around her lovie, and hold onto her paci when it falls out.

She watched basketball with Mark's dad this past weekend.  The fast movements captured her attention for a while!

Happy 2 Months!

Ashlynn Marie,

You are 2 months old! I cannot believe how much you have already grown and changed! At your 2 month appt, you were looking great! Your weight was 11 lbs 10 oz (74 %), your height was 22 3/4 in (68 %). 

Your second month of life brought all kinds of new things. Here are a few of the things I want to remember from this sweet time.

Your first Valentine's Day!

*You are eating 4.5 oz every 3-4 hours.  You normally go 4-6 hours at night between feedings.

*We have started using cloth diapers some while at home.  Mommy is a little nervous to venture out in public with them, but they seem to work well!

*You love cuddling! Being swaddled calms you down, and you love rocking.  Your new paci has a stuffed animal attached to it, and you hold onto it when you are really sleepy.

*You are holding your head up like a champ! Laying on your playmat is one of your favorite activities! You reach for (and have started grabbbing) at it, and you just giggle the whole time. You also seem to like being outside and feeling the wind blow, and you love watching the rain.

Celebrating the start of spring training!

*You have been laughing and smiling so much these past few weeks! You will laugh at funny noises or faces that Mommy and Daddy make! You are also ticklish!  When you hear one of our voices, you start looking for our face.  

*Your taste in music makes mommy and daddy laugh! You love Rhianna and Chris Brown (Ironic!).  Worship music seems to soothe you, and you smile when dancing to country :)

Rocking some tummy time!

*In the mornings, you will lay on a pillow in the bathroom while mommy and daddy get ready and listen to music. You smile and wave your hands and kick your legs!

*Somehow you have started teething early.  We can see 4 of your bottom teeth, and are guessing they will come through in the next few months!

*This month brought your first cold.  It was terrible to watch you cough and have trouble breathing, but you made it through just fine!

*Mommy and Daddy left you overnight for the first time this month.  Gator, G-Ma and Uncle Shane said you did great!

I am sure that there are things I am forgetting....it seems like you are changing every day! We love you so much sweet baby girl, and cannot wait to see what Month 3 brings!
