A few blogs back, I posted about how when it rains, it pours. I thought at that time that it was pouring, but I just didn't know what the next week held.
In the past few weeks, my car had broken down twice. My husbands car had problems at the same time as mine. My grandma had surgery and is still in the hospital recovering.
And then today happened. Mark called me during lunch and asked me to come pick him up, an hour away, because the Mazda dealership thinks his engine is a goner.
At that moment I was just tired. Tired of all of it.
That's when I had to make a choice. I could stress out or cry. OR....I could be so grateful for all of the blessings that God has given us through all of the situations. He has protected us in so many ways, and continued to watch over us like he promised in Jeremiah 29:11.
The entire drive to pick up Mark, I just praised Him and thanked Him as I listed off these blessing.
Here are just a few of the ways He has been so faithful:
*Both times Mark had car trouble he was near a Mazda dealership.
*Both times we have had car trouble, we have been able to go and pick the other one up immediately from the dealership.
*Both of Mark's car issues have been either partially or -hopefully- fully paid for!
*With all of these car troubles, neither of us were ever in danger or hurt.
*I have amazingly generous grandparents who allowed me to drive their car.
*I was able to stay with my grandmother most of the nights the first week she was there, and my husband was so understanding about this.
Those are just a FEW of the ways that God has provided. It is amazing how much He can teach you when you lift up the situation to Him and give Him all of the glory instead of wallowing in pity and stress.
