We started out our second day in Galveston by walking to the beach. This was my first time taking toddlers to the beach, so there is a slight chance that I made "us" carry WAY too much stuff down that first day! Lesson learned :)
We also learned that Sangenitos do not care for being blazing hot, and that the evening was a better time for us to go to the beach!

The girls loved the waves, seashells, and the sand! They would build castles, and Ash would instantly knock them down. Bailey was ok with it because it "make sissy happy!"
We headed back and got cleaned up, and then went to an old soda shop/dinner for lunch.
That afternoon, we hit up a souvenir shop, and enjoyed their patio for a while.
We couldn't miss a chance to indulge in a little Ben & Jerry's as well!
That evening, we went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. They had a playground, and these parents needed a moment to sit and eat :)
Bailey could.not.fathom. why anyone would eat crab. She was truly astounded and freaked out. Ashlynn on the other hand loved it!
After dinner, it was much cooler out, so we walked across to the beach to let the girls play. It was such a spontaneous, fun family memory!
They were wet, and muddy, and Ashlynn was running around so much her shorts fell off!
So what did their awesome daddy do? Headed into the ocean with them! They giggled and smiled the entire time!
