Our first round of Christmas celebrations were with my mom's side of the family in East Texas.
Ashlynn loved pointing out "Jeesush" in manger scenes. When she saw this life size baby Jesus, she was so excited!
We spent the first day of our trip being lazy, and getting lots of cuddles from Granny and Bampa! (Plus cousins, Gaga and Aunt Cindy!)
Bampa got Ashlynn a little exercise in on is workout bike.
The first part of Christmas Eve was spent doing much of the same!
After lunch, we took a little trip to the grocery store. Miss Priss LOVED having a grocery cart of her own!
We got home, and got ready for the Christmas Eve service.
It was so special to go to the Christmas Eve service with both of our baby girls. The kiddos got a little restless,but the noise of little voices was joy to my heart. This is the same Christmas Eve service that my family has been attending for over 20 years. It is also the church where I got to serve on staff. It is such a blessing to see so many people that we treasure, and to worship our Lord's birth with them.
When we got back to the house, the girls were done with pictures and pretty clothes :)
We put on our PJS, enjoyed opening a few more presents, and then fellowshipped with family.
Before we headed out, we snapped a few more pictures with Granny and Bampa!
Our family has grown so big in the past few years, and it was a great time to get together with most of the cousins. We were missing Shane, who had to work. It is crazy to think that the kids used to be us, and now our kiddos are the ones running around, passing out presents and bruising their heads on the bar :)
